NNHS Student-Faculty-Administration (SFA)

Check out the new sample furniture for the student union!  A bistro table and chairs are by the window in the cafe.  Let us know what you think.  Should we get more of these?

The Student-Faculty-Administration Board makes policy for the whole school. The board meets weekly on Wednesday mornings before school.

The SFA is not a club. It is a group that can make major changes in the way the school runs.

On the board are elected representatives of each class, of the faculty and of the administration. All are elected annually. The PTSO sends two representatives, who are not voting members.

At each meeting there is a principal's report. Then the group discusses individual members' proposals on matters ranging from class rank to areas where students can socialize. Often, the board forms subcomimittees to investigate concerns and make recommendations. After the board votes, the principal may still exercise veto power. If the principal lets a matter stand for two weeks, the vote is binding.
