Principal's Report: Ms. Price was not able to attend today's meeting.

Schedule for meetings: Ned and Ms. Dalbec will work on solidifying schedule on Friday and will post on our website.  SFA members are encouraged to look at the schedule to see when meetings will take place.  If we need to cancel a meeting, we will email.

Notetaker: Terry Altherr volunteered to be SFA notetaker.

Motion made and seconded to start sub-committee for Student Union.  Liran will be the head of the Committee.  Committee members: Terry, Anthony, Sofia, Ned, Erin, Cindy.  Liran will send out an email to all sub-comm. members about a meeting time. 

Discussion:

• Ben Colto would like to propose Newton North starting "No Homework Weekends", once per term.  These would take place on long weekends.  He discussed the need- stress and mentioned that Newton South has this at their school.  He is going to talk to teachers to try to get "buy-in".

• Discussion about the paper towels in the bathrooms not working.  They are too stiff and light making the students take a bunch of them to dry and their hands.  The students feel they are wasteful.  Liran suggested getting airdryers in the bathrooms.  Alex Klavens will spec. out how much driers cost and will get options.

• Katie Bradshaw proposed changing the time that busses leave.  She said that they leave 5 minutes after school ends which makes it hard for students who have things they have to do after school.  This was tabled until next week when Ms. Price is in attendance.

• Student proposed getting scones (from the Tiger's Loft) for our meetings-- this was tabled until next week when Ms. Price is in attendance.
